Why do I still need to get sequenced to buy a test, if I’ve already uploaded my genetic data file?

Sometimes the genetic data you uploaded on the Lumminary platform is insufficient for the test you want, meaning there aren’t enough SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms) to be analyzed.

This happens when the test you want needs to access more data than you already have on the DNA Vault. In this case, we offer you the possibility to sequence your DNA with Lumminary. We have multiple sequencing options, depending on how complete you want the sequencing to be, and what your budget also allows for.

You can also upload DNA data files from multiple sources, so if you happen to already have data from 23andMe for example, and an Exome Sequencing, you can upload both of them and your data will be collated.
