How reliable are fitness DNA testing services?

I am considering going to gym. Are these genetic tests going to help me understand better what type ox exercises are better for my body?

Very difficult to say. Obviously it depends on the test and the provider. As a rule of thumb, remember that if you have a result that says you are prone to hip injuries, won’t mean you will always hurt your hip when working out. It’s more a warning for you to be aware of your tendencies and be careful in that regard. Like your genes, the environment plays a massive role in your development. It’s always the case for nature vs nurture isn’t it?

Genetic tests results are based on evidence and probability. The more evidence you gather - scientific peer-reviewed literature - that points to a specific gene association with a trait, the more likely those gene variations will have a direct effect on you.
